The goal of this two-week project was a set of recommendations on information architecture and accessibility of a website on health topics. The intended target user group were elderly users from 60 years onwards.
Initially, my team and I studied the peculiarities of sensory, motor and cognitive capabilities of elderly users. In a next step we conducted expert interviews with user representatives as well as heuristic evaluation of the current website. Subsequently we re-designed the information architecture and developed a XHMTL/CSS-based prototype. The prototype was evaluated with 5 test participants from the age group 56-62 years. As a result, we were able to verify most of our re-design recommendations.
This project accompanied the module „Research Topics in USI“ of the User-System Interaction post-graduate program at the TU Eindhoven.
