A maintainable site with up-to-date information
The focus of the website’s re-design was on improved, dynamic product promotion. Main concern for the customer front-end was user-friendly interaction and better accessibility. Also, the information architecture and visual appearance of the site had to be revised.
Actions and results
After requirements analysis, I deployed wire frames and walk-throughs to re-design the information architecture of the customer front-end of the website. Afterwards, I carried out the visual design and template programming (PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, XHTML, and CSS). Also, I designed and implemented a web-based administration tool. It enables the client's staff to update web-shop, product promotion and news pages. Additionally I implemented an email-based product ordering system.
As a result, the website’s traffic and turnover was increased by approx. 50%.
Radio Körner - High End Audio Video Systeme in Dresden, Germany - is a specialist for home entertainment systems. The shop offers full service from technical planning to installation. Moreover, regular events and workshops are organized for the customers of the company.
